Enrolments

Mission Heights Primary School has an enrolment scheme in place.

In-zone enrolments

Students who live within the Mission Heights Primary School home zone are entitled to enrol at any year level.

Please check the the zone map before beginning an enrolment. Mission Heights Primary School’s zone is different from Mission Heights Junior College’s zone in some areas, as each school has its own enrolment scheme.

To enrol an in-zone student, please complete the enrolment form and contact the school office to confirm the documents required as proof of address.

Out-of-zone enrolments for 2027

Mission Heights Primary School is inviting applications for a limited number of out-of-zone places for the 2027 school year. There are 10 places avaialbe at each year level.

Applications must be received by Wednesday 14 October 2026.

Where the number of applications exceeds the places available in a priority category, a ballot will be held on Wednesday 21 October 2026.

To apply, please complete the enrolment form and return it to admin@mhp.school.nz or the school office.

Submitting an out-of-zone ballot application does not guarantee enrolment. Families who are offered a place will then be asked to complete the school’s full enrolment process.

Intakes

There are two intakes each term for students who turn 5 in order to ensure a smooth, well prepared transition to school. Children starting school age 5 need to be toilet trained – we do not have the staff or facilities to change nappies. The only exception to this is where students have additional needs and Ministry of Education funding.
