Dear Mission Heights Whanau,

As per the announcement from our Prime Minister yesterday evening, Mission Heights Primary is CLOSED from Today 12 August – Wednesday 26th August.

Online learning will continue from 9am tomorrow, your child’s teacher will email you details. We are lucky to have such talented and well prepared teachers who are ready to go again with online learning.

Mission Kids will not be running.  We can ONLY ACCEPT those children of ESSENTIAL WORKERS as per Alert Level 3 requirements (which was around 10 children last time).

These children will need to line up with two metres distancing at the gate on Jeff’s Road, as per previous Alert Level 3 requirements, from 8.50am. No parents/caregivers are allowed onsite, so prepare your children for a ‘kiss and go’. You will need to stay with your child at the gate until we welcome your child onsite.

Children onsite will be in ‘Bubble Classrooms’, with social distancing and strict hygiene and safety guidelines and no more than 10 children in a class. Siblings will be placed together.

I reiterate, we are only expecting the children of ESSENTIAL WORKERS and at Level 3 previously we only had around 10 children onsite.

Please email jkeber@mhp.school.nz if you require your child to be in school as you are an essential worker with no other childcare options.

We have done this before and we will do this again. Let’s work together, be kind and stamp this out!

Stay Safe – Kia Kaha
